Larry's groundbreaking work on "The Thief of Baghdad" revolutionized special effects, inventing the Blue/green screen and traveling matte techniques still used today. Christopher's father, Michael Butler, an accomplished Director of Photography, contributed to iconic films of the 1970s, such as "Jaws" and "Smokey and the Bandit," earning an Oscar nomination for "Missouri Breaks" starring Jack Nicholson and Marlon Brando. Additionally, Christopher's uncle, David Butler, made significant contributions as a Director of Photography, operator, and aerial cinematographer on films like "Apocalypse Now," "Terminator 2," and "Jaws 2."

Christopher himself received invaluable guidance and experience while apprenticing under David and Michael Butler during his formative years on movie sets. His career flourished, encompassing independent films such as "Vanity and Decadence," and major productions including "If Tomorrow Comes" starring James Franco, "Girl in 3-D," and "Director's Cut." Christopher also shot commercials for renowned brands such as Carl's Jr, Coca-Cola, Bertolli, and more.
